In 1969, Tony Rousslang and his wife Fran, started as freight agents for Raymond Motors, Hart Motors, Midwest Motor Express (MME), and Twin City Freight (TCF), all based out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN area. These companies would drop their partial freight off and Tony's would deliver the freight within a 40 mile radius of Wadena, MN. They continued doing this for several years, while keeping busy raising a family.
In 1981, Tony bought out Hammes Transfer and began doing over the road trucking. Joe Rousslang, his son, took the one over the road truck and hauled freight within a five state radius.
In 1986 Fran died and three years later in 1989, Tony Sr. died. In 1991 Dave Rousslang and Joe Rousslang, sons of Tony Sr. and Fran, began a partnership and took over Tony's Transfer, LLP. In 1991 they only had three over the road trucks, now they are up to 11 over the road trucks! They also currently have five owner operators and are always looking for more! Currently, Joe and Dave, work in the office along with their other brother Tony Rousslang, Jr, who dispatches the trucks and helps with paperwork. The safety director is Dave Cline and he has been with the company about 10 years.
